Winter Care Workshop at the Hiawatha Public Library

November 15, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CST

We are excited to help the City of Hiawatha celebrate their decision to approve a 3-year trial period allowing citizens to Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) community cats in their neighborhoods. TNR is vital in stopping the overpopulation of community cats and is the only effective solution. IHA’s Community Cat Team will be offering a Winter Care Workshop on November 15th at the Hiawatha Library.

The colder months can be rough for outdoor, community cats in Iowa. With a little bit of help from a caretaker and trap-neuter-return, feral and stray cats can live long, healthy lives.

This Winter Care Workshop which will feature a take home “Winter Care Guide”, take-home styrofoam shelters for a free-will donation, winter care tips for community cats, a door prize drawing, and life-saving information about Trap-Neuter-Return.
We will be hosting the Winter Care Workshop at the Hiawatha Public Library (150 West Willman Street) from 6pm- 7pm on Thursday, November 15th.
Together, we can improve our community; for both humans and felines! See you there!
