Our goal is to establish a $100,000 endowment fund at the Community Foundation.

The Community Foundation will:
Acknowledge all donations
Inform IHA of contributions
Contribute $1 for every $3 donated (maximum accumulative match of $2,500 per donor gift(s) of $7,500)
Provide applications for Endow Iowa Tax Credits
Endow Iowa Tax Credits: When you donate to the Iowa Humane Alliance Endowment Challenge Fund through the Community Foundation, you’ll be eligible to receive a 25% state tax credit, in addition to any federal tax benefits you may qualify for. Named Endowed Funds: You now have an amazing opportunity to establish a Named Endowed Designated Fund! Typically, this fund requires a minimum contribution of $10,000 but with the Community Foundation match of $2,500, your donation of $7,500 will qualify you for a Named Endowed Designated (NED) Fund! The name of each fund is Iowa Humane Alliance (your name or family name) Fund and will allow for the Community Foundation to create an endowed fund to provide a permanent annual distribution to Iowa Humane Alliance.
Not ready to commit the full amount all at once? Alternatively, you can choose to commit to a minimum contribution of $2,500 by establishing a Prairie Fund and agree to make regular contributions over a period of five years with a goal of $10,000, at which time the Prairie Fund will convert to a Named Endowed Designated Fund.
Gifts we accept: There are many different types of gifts that can be accepted and applied to the Iowa Humane Alliance Endowment Challenge Fund.
