Iowa Humane Alliance’s programs have proven to be highly effective methods for helping animals in our communities. Together we have accomplished many great things. Now we’re asking you to give generously to help us meet the growing demands for our life-saving work.

1,441 Animals spayed/neutered via IHA’s transport program.
1,349 Family pets vaccinated through our low-cost vaccination clinics.
207 Pets and owners benefited from IHA’s “Love for Pets” program.
40 Area rescue partners united in IHA’s Animal Alliance Network.
Want to know more about the vital programs your support makes possible? Read on!
IHA Regional Spay/Neuter Clinic – 9,549
Our clinic’s strong business structure and ability to perform a high-volume of surgeries per day enables us to keep our costs low. For some clients, our prices are not within their budgets so your support allows us to provide assistance to these clients and their pets. Your donations are helping animals with the greatest need.
ITRAP – 2,746
This program makes the most significant impact when reducing euthanasia rates in our local shelters and rescues. We offer our community cat package at a reduced rate and subsidize services for free-roaming cats because this program has such a measurable and positive effect for the cats and the community.
Transport Program – 1,441
Our transport program expands our reach to meet the demand for affordable, high quality services beyond our immediate geographic location. Over a thousand animals from remote areas of Iowa have been spayed or neutered due to our transport van.
Love For Pets – 207
Due to our continual presence and open lines of communications, IHA’s reputation as a valuable animal welfare resource is being realized within targeted neighborhoods. Our positive influence is beginning to change cultural and economic biases regarding spay/neuter in underserved communities.
IHA Animal Alliance Network – 40
This program fosters the sharing of knowledge and communication to best utilize limited resources benefiting animal welfare in Eastern Iowa. Our partners are encouraged to attend informational sessions, benefit from a reduced cost for services, participate in fundraising events, and exchange progressive ideas to further advance the care of animals. We are looking forward to expanding this program in 2018.
Iowa Humane Alliance wants to thank you for making 2017 a success. Your generous, much-appreciated donations have allowed our programs to expand and help countless animals. There is still so much more that needs to be done. We are asking you to continue to support IHA to help even more animals. Let’s make 2018 a brighter and better year for numerous animals and the people who care for them. YES, we can do more. Let’s see what we can accomplish together!
From all of us at IHA: Thank you and Happy Holidays!
